Toolbar and Tabs in FF

Hi,
I have a question regarding the difference between the IE and FF in Tabs functionality.
I understand that in IE, for every new tab opened, the new instance of the toolbar is created.
In FF, I understand that only a single instance of the toolbar exist.

In my toolbar, I have a button that should change a it's text depending on the url of the current active Tab.

How can I implement such functionality? Is there a Javascript event that should be handled?
